The Brief

The Grade 11* listed gatehouse at The Fleming was converted to a barber shop, and a new contemporary extension added to form a cafe. A glass slot separates the new build from the lodge , with the Flemish bond brickwork and coursing of the original lodge  replicated in the new build element.

There are shared  toilet facilities and a new outdoor seating area. Working with the owner and  end users, the lodge has become a stylish and contemporary gateway to the The Fleming business centre.
